The Geely Galaxy E8 will be the first model to incorporate satellite communication technology, ensuring the successful launch mission of the second-tier satellite for the Geely Future Mobility Constellation.
According to information released by Geely, the upcoming launch of 11 satellites will include names such as "Geely Galaxy" and "Remote Star Observation." This marks Geely's renewed foray into the aerospace technology domain, following the successful launch and stable orbit of the "Geely Future Mobility Constellation" 01 group in June last year, which comprised nine low-orbit satellites and has been in smooth orbital operation for over a year.
Beyond the foray into aerospace technology lies Geely's strategic positioning in the realms of intelligent driving and the future of mobility. As the electric vehicle market matures and consumer demand for cutting-edge features such as intelligent driving and connected car technologies continues to rise, Geely's introduction of satellite communication technology is poised to secure a competitive edge in this fierce market landscape.
With the Geely Galaxy E8 set to be the first to embrace satellite communication technology, slated for market release on January 5 next year, the new vehicle is expected to achieve unprecedented heights in intelligence and vehicle-to-network connectivity, marking a significant leap in Geely's commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
