Sunwoda Mobility Energy Technology inaugurates NEV electronics manufacturing base in Maoming city

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 27, Sunwoda Mobility Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("SEVB"), a subsidiary of Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd., officially inaugurated its manufacturing base in the Dianbai district of Maoming city, Guangdong province.

This facility, spanning approximately 100 mu (66,666 square meters) with a total floor area of 145,000 square meters, is dedicated to the intelligent manufacturing of electronic components for new energy vehicles.

SEVB has achieved this remarkable feat in just 300 days since signing for the project, with the first phase already operational and the second phase expected to be completed by July next year.

The new manufacturing base, established through SEVB's investment, focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of critical components such as battery management systems (BMS), body control modules (BCM), and vehicle control units (VCU) for new energy vehicles. The project, initiated with the signing of the contract in December of the previous year, successfully conducted the trial production of its primary products on September 28 of the current year, demonstrating a remarkable turnaround time in its infrastructure development and operationalization.

Chen Binbin, General Manager of Sunwoda's Automotive Electronics Business Unit, outlined the goals for the new base, envisioning it as a "carbon-neutral lighthouse factory" and a benchmark for intelligent manufacturing in the automotive electronics sector. In the short term, the base aims to become a highly automated, digitized, intelligent, and information-driven hub for the new energy industry, attracting a pool of talented professionals to bolster Sunwoda's automotive electronics business.

Once fully operational, the base is expected to achieve an annual output value of 6 billion yuan, creating around 1,000 job opportunities.
