Gotion High-tech, Envision Greenwise to co-build R&D institute in HK for low-carbon tech R&D

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Gotion High-tech (HK) Limited ("Gotion High-tech HK"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gotion High-tech, and Envision Greenwise Holdings Limited ("Envision Greenwise"), a new energy service provider listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, recently entered into a cooperation agreement to jointly establish a low-carbon research institute in China's Hong Kong, Gotion High-tech announced via its WeChat account on Feb. 20.

According to the agreement, the joint venture, named Gotion Envision Greenwise Low-Carbon Research Institute Limited, will focus on the R&D of new technologies and business models for battery energy storage systems (BESS), and promote the R&D, innovation, industrial application and market trading of low-carbon technologies on a global scale.

The collaboration builds on the existing partnership between Gotion High-tech and Envision Greenwise, which includes plans to jointly develop and operate energy storage EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects and battery recycling projects worldwide, and establish shared local and international logistics solutions. By leveraging each other's strengths and localized resources in global markets, the joint research institute will further drive the advancement of low-carbon technologies and the expansion of the energy storage business for both parties.

The new collaboration marks a significant step forward in the strategic partnership between the two companies. By combining their strengths and resources, they are well-positioned to drive innovation and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future.

Envision Greenwise is a new energy service provider listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
