NETA Auto puts first-batch equipment for Indonesia plant in place
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto announced via its WeChat account that the first batch of equipment for its car manufacturing plant in Indonesia was in place on March 6, bringing the company one step closer to achieving its goal of localized production in the country.

The company said the first vehicle manufactured by the plant is expected to roll off the production line on April 30.
On July 26, 2023, NETA Auto and its Indonesian partner PT Handal Indonesia Motor signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly work towards the localized production of NETA Auto's vehicles.
Expanding its presence in the Indonesian market, NETA Auto, along with its key vehicle models like the NETA S, the NETA U-II, and the NETA V, made their debut at the 2023 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show ("GIIAS") on August 10, 2023.
Then on November 27 of the same year, the automaker held a signing ceremony for its local manufacturing business in Indonesia.
To firming up its commitment to localized production, NETA Auto dispatched a large quantity of production equipment from Shanghai Yangshan Port on February 11, 2024, destined for Jakarta, Indonesia.
