BYD forges strategic partnership with renowned esports club NIP

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 19, 2024, BYD officially announced a global strategic partnership with the world-renowned esports club, Ninjas in Pyjamas ("NIP").

BYD said this upgraded cooperation signifies mutual high recognition of the past achievements in brand rejuvenation and will further disseminate BYD's brand, products, and technologies worldwide.

NIP, as one of the most significant and influential esports clubs globally, competes in top-tier games such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, EA Sports FC, and Fortnite. With its home base in Shenzhen, China, and offices in Stockholm, Shanghai, and São Paulo, NIP's consistent global expansion has extended its operations across Asia, Europe, and South America.

Commenting on the partnership, Co-CEO of NIP Group, Hicham Chahine, expressed enthusiasm about entering a new phase of development with BYD. "BYD's reputation for advanced new energy vehicle technology and their innovative spirit aligns with our passionate competitive ethos. We look forward to exploring new ways to innovate and expand our collaborative efforts," said Chahine.

In 2023, BYD's new energy vehicle sales exceeded 3 million units, maintaining its position as the global leader by new energy vehicle sales. BYD's presence has spanned across six continents, covering over 70 countries and regions in more than 400 cities.
