LEADRIVE starts operation of Wuhu factory

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 20, LEADRIVE Technology (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. (LEADRIVE) officially began production at its new NEV (new energy vehicle) electric motor controller facility in the Fanchang Economic Development Zone in Wuhu city, Anhui Province, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

Shen Jie, Chairman of LEADRIVE, highlighted the strategic advantages of Fanchang Economic Development Zone, praising its prime location and strong economic foundation as ideal for fostering NEV and carbon neutrality industries. He emphasized that the project represents a critical step in enhancing the company's industrialization capabilities and will support mass production for leading automakers, including Chery.

The Wuhu project progressed rapidly, with contracts signed on June 14 this year, basic construction completed by September 25, and the first prototype rolling off the production line on October 25—a timeline of just 133 days.

The facility boasts a state-of-the-art manufacturing system built to exceptionally high standards,said the company. By integrating automation and digital technologies, the factory incorporates advanced manufacturing techniques from top industry suppliers. It features 128 fully automated high-temperature aging test chambers and adheres to stringent quality standards.

Looking ahead, the plant will continue ramping up production capacity while introducing its next-generation motor controller products, production techniques, and manufacturing lines. Once fully operational, it will have the capacity to produce 900,000 motor controllers and 450,000 power modules annually.
