Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 14, Yutong Group, a Chinese main commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced that its "One Cloud, Two Cabins" system—including the "Cloud-based Butler Anruitong ("Anruitong" is in Chinese Pinyin)," "Smart Driving Cockpit," and "Smart Passenger Cabin"—will integrate DeepSeek's AI inference model from February 15.

Leveraging DeepSeek's advanced reasoning and generalization capabilities, the move aims to enhance human-like interaction within vehicles and elevate the overall intelligence of Yutong's commercial fleet.

With the integration with DeepSeek, drivers can access intelligent Q&A functions via the smart driving cockpit and Anruitong system, receiving precise responses on vehicle operation, maintenance, and repairs—even when queries are vague. This upgrade will enable users to quickly grasp driving techniques and maintenance insights, offering more efficient and intelligent services for drivers, fleet managers, and enterprises.

As one of China's first commercial vehicle manufacturers to deeply integrate DeepSeek's AI capabilities, Yutong plans to further develop proactive and personalized interaction scenarios, realizing deep fusion of its in-vehicle voice system with DeepSeek's AI model.

The company said it will leverage ecosystem data and user feedback to refine its "intelligent companion" system. This system will combine reasoning, deliberation, interaction, and assistance features, improving cloud-based decision-making, contextual support, and overall ease of use to deliver a more intuitive and responsive user experience.

In 2024, Yutong Group sold a total of 65,236 commercial vehicles, marking a 43.8% year-on-year soar. It launched over 40 new models through the year.

Breaking down the numbers, Yutong Bus sold 46,918 vehicles, up 28.48% year-on-year; Yutong's light-duty truck sales surged 219% from a year earlier to 8,168 units; its heavy-duty truck arm recorded an annual sales volume of 4,772 units, which zoomed up 62% over a year earlier; and Yutong Heavy Industries sold 5,326 units, a 59% spike over the previous year.

On the export front, Yutong Bus shipped 14,000 vehicles overseas in 2024, up 37.73% year-on-year.
