Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 57,138 units, down 20.08% year on year, the first on August, 2008 sales ranking by Joint Venture's brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Toyota amounted to 40,294 units, up 1.23% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 367,553 units. August sales of Honda reached 38,726 units, increasing 31.97% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 309,229 units.
