January, 2009 sales ranking by China's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of Chery amounted to 28,071 units, down 19.13% year on year, the first on January, 2009 sales ranking by China's brands, according to the January sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of BYD amounted to 21,915 units, up 165.54% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 21,915 units. January sales of Geely reached 20,225 units, decreasing 8.86% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 20,225 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
