August, 2009 sales ranking by China's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 38,361 units, up 223.61% year on year, the first on August, 2009 sales ranking by China's brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Chery amounted to 37,059 units, up 89.66% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 270,633 units. August sales of Geely reached 23,387 units, increasing 74.41% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 192,131 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
