Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 169,690 units, up 42.77% year on year, the first on January, 2011 sales ranking by all brands, according to the January sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Chery amounted to 78,082 units, up 23.36% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 78,082 units. January sales of Nissan reached 76,615 units, increasing 27.29% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 76,615 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
