May, 2011 sales ranking by China's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 41,051 units, down 8.82% year on year, the first on May, 2011 sales ranking by China's brands, according to the May sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Chery amounted to 37,778 units, down 16.45% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 248,383 units. May sales of Geely reached 32,040 units, increasing 6.74% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 183,143 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
