August, 2012 sales ranking by China's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of Chery amounted to 42,585 units, down 0.50% year on year, the first on August, 2012 sales ranking by China's brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Geely amounted to 32,178 units, up 16.04% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 289,068 units. August sales of BYD reached 31,851 units, increasing 11.96% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 263,753 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
