Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 216,341 units, up 22.60% year on year, the first on August, 2022 auto sales ranking by all brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of BYD amounted to 173,977 units, up 157.25% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 979,397 units. August sales of Toyota reached 161,481 units, increasing 81.40% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 1,216,260 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
