Great Wall Motor posts July sales growth with strong gains in NEV segment
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor ("GWM") recently announced it sold 104,372 vehicles in July, up 14.34% year-on-year, with notable momentum in its electrified and premium lineups.
Notably, its sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) surged 43.27% over a year earlier to 34,593 units in the month, while models priced above 200,000 yuan leapt 46.69% year-on-year to 33,511 units. Overseas sales reached 41,088 units, an increase of 7.6% from a year earlier.
From January to July 2025, GWM sold 674,161 vehicles, up 3.57% year-on-year. NEV sales during the period totaled 195,007 units, while overseas sales reached 238,746 units.

The HAVAL brand sold 56,221 vehicles in July, a 6.19% year-on-year increase. Its "Big Dog" lineup maintained monthly sales above 10,000 units for the 14th consecutive month. On July 17, the 2026 HAVAL Big Dog hit the market with an introductory price starting at 98,900 yuan, receiving over 20,000-unit orders within the first 24 hours.
The WEY NEV brand recorded July sales of 10,045 units, soaring 263.29% from a year earlier. The WEY Lanshan SUV saw its 100,000th unit roll off the production line last month.
The TANK SUV sold 20,020 units in July, a 7.16% increase year-on-year. The month also saw the market launch of the TANK 500 in a distinctive "Dunhuang Green" finish.
ORA, GWM's all-electric small-car brand, sold 4,300 vehicles in July, marking a 30.98% jump from June.
Great Wall Pick-up's sales reached 13,772 units in July, up 14.5% from a year earlier. From January to July, the brand exported more than 35,000 vehicles.
