Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 198,941 units, up 88.61% year on year, the first on April, 2023 auto sales ranking by all brands, according to the April sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of VW amounted to 151,714 units, up 122.55% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 591,621 units. April sales of Toyota reached 138,755 units, increasing 38.90% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 509,461 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
