Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 48,250 units, up 32.54% year on year, the first on August, 2006 sales ranking by all brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Toyota amounted to 26,552 units, up 119.66% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 166,544 units. August sales of Chery reached 23,553 units, increasing 103.46% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 176,630 units.
