Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 71,496 units, up 48.18% year on year, the first on August, 2007 sales ranking by all brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Toyota amounted to 39,806 units, up 49.92% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 269,351 units. August sales of Honda reached 29,345 units, increasing 29.74% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 218,723 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
