Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - The Chinese passenger automobile market showed slight signs of recovery in April. According to China Passenger Car Association statistics compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), over 404 automobile models were sold in the country over the course of the month.

According to China Passenger Car Association, the production of strictly defined passenger vehicles nationwide in China stood at 1,754,000 units, down by 14.2% against this March while up by 6.7% against last April. In the meantime, China has sold 1,638,000 passenger vehicles, down by 11.1% against this March while up by 8.1% against last April. For the first four months of 2016, the production of strictly defined passenger vehicles totaled 7,191,000 units, up by 7.7% compared against the same period last year while the sales of that totaled 7,081,000 units, up by 9%. Cui Dongshu, the general secretary of China Passenger Car Association, concluded that China auto sales fall below expectation this April.

Personnel changes in BAIC is continuously going on. Recently, media reported that a total of 12 persons served as deputy manager-level positions and above were facing position changes. Other news came around that the personnel changes involved several hundred employees. Some internal staff revealed that, “The personnel change is more about work shift, involving BAIC group and the subsidiary BAIC Motor, Beijing Hyundai, Changhe Motor, BHAP and other operational segments.”
