Dongfeng Honda recalls 2270 Civics

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 15) - Dongfeng Honda has issued a recall of 2,270 2012 model year Civic sedans today, China Business News reported. The recall order, which has already been handed into the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, will target Civic manufactured from late September to mid-November of 2011.

Honda's Chinese sales slip in November

Honda China COO confident in Dongfeng Honda's progress

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 1) - Despite tough automobile market conditions this year, foreign manufacturers such as Honda cannot ignore the importance of the country. In an interview with xkb.com.cn, Seiji Kuraishi, chief operating officer for Honda's regional operations in China, hoped that the manufacturer's sales in the country would grow 15 percent next year. This is despite the Japanese earthquake and Thai flood having occurred severely influenced automobile enterprises. Mr. Kuraishi added that Honda would be increasing its research and development done in China.

Honda to manufacture Fit EV in China in 2012

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 15) - Honda is among the manufacturers not deterred by the perpetual delay in the introduction of revised new energy vehicle policies, with the manufacturer announcing that the electric version of the Fit subcompact will be made in China next year, the Beijing Evening News reported today. Guangzhou has already become the manufacturer's third global EV test drive center, with its goal to promote localization and domestic research and development.
