Roewe Urban SUV, a mode of Internet Connected Vehicle developed by SAIC, one of leading automakers in China, and Alibaba, which is an Internet giant in this country, also debuted on the auto show, attracting attention from people. It is reportedly the first mode of Internet Connected Vehicle that has been put into mass production and brought to the market recently.

Xu Heyi, President of BAIC Motor, surprised the audiences of Beijing Auto Show by making a big entrance driving one of the company’s alternative energy supercar ARCFOX-7. More importantly, BAIC surprised the stage by gathering the overwhelming majority of its domestic brands including BAIC Motor, Changhe, BAIC BJEV, FOTON and BAIC YinXiang, together with its joint venture brands including BAIC Hyundai, BAIC Mercedes-Benz and Changhe Suzuki, and also the large number of models it brought to the show.

The number of people visiting the 2016 Beijing Auto Show was 815,000, dropping by 4.3% compared with that of last one for the first time. In the past 12 years, the Beijing Auto Show had been so attracting that the number of visitors hadn’t showed any downward trend.
