Huawei & Chery’s Luxeed S7 electric sedan begins pre-sale, starting at 258,000 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 9, Huawei and Chery kicked off pre-sale of their collaborative masterpiece, the Luxeed S7, which is also the inaugural electric sedan model from Huawei Smart Selection's automotive endeavors. 

The Luxeed S7 is a notable addition to the market, featuring four distinct versions, namely Standard Range, Long Range, Super Long Range, and All-Wheel-Drive Flagship, with a starting pre-sale price of 258,000 yuan.

The Luxeed S7 embraces substantial technological advancements across multiple dimensions, including intelligent driving, smart cabin design, powertrain enhancements, and chassis improvements, incorporating several cutting-edge solutions from Huawei.

In the design department, the Luxeed S7 employs the One-Box design concept, crafting an integrated vehicle structure. Its super-wide-angle lighting system has expanded the headlight illumination width from 25 meters to 50 meters, ensuring confident night driving. A vast panoramic sunroof, spanning 2.6 square meters, extends to the rear windshield.

In terms of dimensions, the Luxeed S7 measures 4,971mm in length, 1,963mm in width, and 1,461mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm. The cabin boasts a generous 1,910mm of longitudinal space for both front and rear occupants, ensuring a comfortable and spacious interior. Rear passengers enjoy 945mm of legroom, while front passengers have 965mm at their disposal.

Inside the cabin, the Luxeed S7 features an innovative yacht-styled cockpit design for enhanced visibility. It is equipped with a novel oval-shaped sport steering wheel and a 12.3-inch panoramic navigation screen.

In terms of smart features, the Luxeed S7 leads the charge by incorporating the HarmonyOS 4 smart cockpit system, offering a holistic upgrade in terms of cabin personalization, efficiency, intelligence, smoothness, and privacy. Additionally, the smart voice assistant, Xiaoyi, integrates Huawei's Pangu AI large-scale model.

In the realm of intelligent driving, the Luxeed S7 is equipped with the HUAWEI ADS 2.0 advanced intelligent driving system, leveraging perception and intelligent algorithms to achieve advanced intelligent driving without relying on high-precision maps. Notably, the Luxeed S7 also debuts a parking valet feature, enabling the vehicle to autonomously locate parking spaces and fetch drivers, liberating users from the hassles of parking and retrieval.

In the areas of powertrain and chassis, Huawei introduces numerous innovative technologies, including the next-generation DriveONE 800V silicon carbide golden power platform and the “Tuling” (name in Chinese pinyin) intelligent chassis. The former boasts a maximum rotational speed of 22,000 rpm, with an electric motor efficiency of up to 98%. The latter features a multimodal fusion perception system, the HUAWEI DATS dynamic adaptive torque system, and the HUAWEI xMotion intelligent vehicle body cooperative control system.

The Luxeed S7's power battery is a result of a collaborative effort between CATL and Huawei, achieving a remarkable comprehensive range of over 800 kilometers under CLTC conditions.
