Dongfeng Motor plans to launch MHERO 917 in Middle East

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 8, Dongfeng Motor announced via its official WeChat account that its MHERO 917 luxury electric off-roader is set to enter the Middle East market, with current testing underway in the UAE.

According to Dongfeng Motor, the MHERO 917 has already obtained the EU’s ECE and the Middle East’s GSO vehicle certifications and is undergoing extensive road testing in target markets worldwide.

The month-long road test in the UAE aims to comprehensively assess the performance and reliability of the MHERO 917 under various extreme conditions, providing strong assurance for future market promotion and user experience.

With 65% of the UAE covered by desert, characterized by a hot and humid tropical desert climate, the testing environment, including extreme temperatures exceeding 40℃, poses significant challenges for the vehicle’s air conditioning system, battery system, as well as the overall quality. Despite these harsh conditions, the MHERO 917 demonstrates exceptional stability, effortlessly navigating desert dunes and urban terrains with its all-terrain capabilities, said the carmaker.

In April of this year, the MHERO 917 successfully entered the Swiss market, marking the beginning of its conquest of the European market.

In a bid to better serve local users, MHERO has established a rapid service response mechanism and system overseas to provide convenient and efficient after-sales service and user experience.
