Shanghai, February 27 (Gasgoo.com) China's Harbin Dongan Automotive Engine Manufacturing Co. Ltd (DAE) rolled out its 1 millionth engine and 900,000th transmission yesterday, harbinnews.com said today.

Though faced with unfavorable impact caused by the financial crisis on auto industry, DAE has strengthened production of its low-emission 4G1-series engines by taking the opportunity of China's purchase tax reduction for passenger vehicles with engines below 1.6L.

The engine maker sold 335,000 engines and 288,000 transmissions last year, achieving sales revenue of four billion yuan ($58,565), an all-time record high.

The company now is building a production base of automatic transmission (AT) with the technology from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. With an overall planned investment of two billion yuan, the project will be capable of manufacturing 300,000 ATs a year. The production base is expected to become one of the main AT providers of Mitsubishi Motors. And it will also supply the products to Chinese auto manufacturers.
