Shanghai March 10th, 2017 Gasgoo-Currently, Dongfeng Nissan is entering a “Young Nissan 3.0” era, with the total wholesales volume exceeding 1.13m units in 2016. Although Venucia has officially broken away, Dongfeng Nissan still got strong performance in January and February, with year-to-year growth reaching 14% and 20.4% respectively. Official news come around that Dongfeng Nissan sets its annual sales target at 1.08m units, along with promoting “i3” intelligent strategy in the year.
Besides, Airton Cousseau, CEO of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company said that, “Dongfeng Nissan will enter into a customer year 2.0 Era this year. We will further focus on meeting customers’ demands and integrating customer value chain to make sure the accomplishment of 2017 target.”
The greatest change taking place on Dongfeng Nissan “Young Nissan 1.0” and “Young Nissan 2.0” is the younger exterior appearance and upgraded security configuration. Currently, the “i3 plan” mainly focuses on intelligentization and introduces semi-automatic driving system, alternative energy technologies and multi-media technologies, in order to lift the R&D efficiency and accuracy, as well as strengthening the E-commerce sales system. In the future, car owners could also communicate with 4S stores directly by automobile multi-media systems to get more convenient after-sales maintenances.
It’s also expected that Dongfeng Nissan will launch New X-Trail and New small-size SUV. The new small-size SUV will adopt the Japanese new family-style “V-motion” design to show a fashionable image. The model will exceed Peugeot 2008 in vehicle dimension. It is also expected to equip with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. However, the new X-Trail will promote improvements in front face and upgrade configuration.
