BYD Qin Pro EV600 said to boast NEDC-rated range exceeding 500km

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The BYD Qin Pro formally hit the market on September 20. Recently, local media got the photos of the BYD Qin Pro EV600--another BEV model of the Qin Pro Series, from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The Qin Pro EV600 still retains the BYD's signature “Dragon Face” design language, while looks more stylish than the existing model. A large-sized chrome grille connecting headlights on both sides and the protruding lines on the engine bonnet give the new BEV model its distinct profile. The new model measures 4,765mm long, 1,837mm wide and 1,515mm tall with a wheelbase length of 2,718mm.

Lines on the rear end are quite clean. A chrome trim is sandwiched between a taillight cluster featuring full LED light source that runs through the entire car rear. Besides, the trapezoidal license plate frame fortifies a multi-layer sense.

The Qin Pro EV600 will offer such optional facilities as front grille, outside rear-view mirror, rims, front/rear grouped lamps, sunroof, camera, lettering, LOGO's colors, door handle, shark-fin-shaped antenna, side signal lamp, apron board and side curtain air bags.

The Qin Pro EV600 will carry a permanent magnet synchronous generator code-named BYD-2015TZ-XS-E that generates a maximum output of 135kW and make the vehicle run at top speed of 150km/h. The “EV600” stands for a range at constant speed up to 600km. The new BEV model is expected to feature a NEDC-rated range exceeding 500km taking the Tang EV600 as reference.
