Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Beijing NEV Development Promotion Center Director Niu Jinming stated on 2017 NEV power charging and exchange technologies forum that, Beijing NEV ownership has reached about 160,000 currently, with private vehicles exceeding 110,000 units and renting vehicles of 15,600 units. All of the three numbers are the largest across the nation.

“Private vehicles account for 70% of the total, showing buying vehicle is mainstream behavior in Beijing”, Niu Jinming said. He revealed that governments in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have reached agreement to form a platform for cooperative developments in technology transfer, industry transfer, policy cooperative research and market opening. He also expressed that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei NEV and intelligent-connected allay established in October this year has promote some projects, with a production line for 500,000 units’ electric motors beginning construction and being partly put into production. MGL battery production line has been landed in Tianjin, with battery disassembly and recycling projects in plan. Special vehicle modifying project has begun in Caofeidian and monitoring platform project also begins construction in Langfang.
