Toyota unveils new Corolla sedans at Auto Guangzhou 2018

Guangzhou (Gasgoo)- Toyota unveiled new sedan models in the Corolla series (known in China as "Corolla" and "Levin") in a world premiere at Auto Guangzhou 2018 on November 16.

According to the Japanese automaker, new models will be gradually rolled out in more than 150 countries and regions. Sales in the United States will start in spring 2019 while sales in China will begin after mid-2019. In the automaker’s domestic market, the model will hit the market within 2019 with an optimized version for Japanese customers and roads.

Ever since the model was released in 1966, more than 46 million cars have been sold across the world and the model has become Toyota’s all-time best-selling car series. In China, the new Corolla and the new Levin will be powered by Toyota’s latest 1.8L engine with hybrid power system to improve acceleration response as well as the fuel economy.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard for the new Corolla and the new Levin for the first time while its Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) system also supports Lane Tracing Assist (LTA). The feature can keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane or follow the vehicle ahead while it fails to recognize the lane line.

The new models come standard with an onboard Data Communication Module (DCM), an integral component of Toyota Connected. Connected services can provide "just-in-time" services and offering security and peace of mind to customers 24/7. Customers can also use its mobile phone APPs on the control panel.
