Navinfo overall transformation to self-driving

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Navinfo held its 2017 user meeting on November 16th, showing Navinfo’s strategic vision of seizing historical opportunity brought by self-driving technologies and building the intelligent vehicle brain.

Navinfo’s current businesses are introduced at the meeting, including navigation map, connected vehicles, self-driving, chips and location big data, which fully display Navinfo’s thinking and technological accumulation on intelligent transportation, as well as abilities and charming in its commitments to providing solutions for intelligent vehicles.

Cheng Peng, President of Navinfo, made an in-depth analysis in his speech on Navinfo’s new strategy layout of “chips, algorithm, data and software”, which would lead Navinfo to establish its own brand and product advantages to connect into global self-driving eco-system.

It’s also introduced in the meeting that Navinfo will lift its map data dynamic service ability and cloud data processing ability to explore map navigation business. Currently, the self-researched FastMap enterprise online production platform is able to complete collection, processing, testing and issuing of map data in 24 hours. Navinfo has completed the industrial chain integrating strategy for connected passenger vehicles, and will focus on promotion of products and commercial use. The hot self-driving business is now in the period of industrial layout and R&D input. The newly-operated chips business will continue to explore market shares by making use of current IVI products’ operation performance and competitive strengths. In terms of location big data business, related innovative product MineData was officially launched in June this year, fully integrating all data in the group and from partnerships. The product has won ITS Asia 2017 “Innovative Product Award”, greatly displaying Navinfo’s technological strength in the area.
