SAIC-VW to unveil all-new Lavida Plus at Auto China 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SAIC Volkswagen (SAIC-VW)'s VW brand will unveil the all-new Lavida Plus at Auto China 2018 in Beijing later this month. Positioned as an A plus sedan model, the all-new Lavida Plus will use the same marketing channel as the existing Lavida. Apart from that, the automaker will showcase a number of other models at the show.

Adopting VW's new-generation global design language, the all-new Lavida Plus features a generous intake grille at its front end decorated with new LED headlight cluster. Besides, the body sides boast sharp waistlines. Elevated over the existing Lavida, the new model measures 4,670mm in length, 1,806mm in width and 1,474mm in height and possesses a wheelbase of 2,688mm.

The all-new Lavida Plus adopts VW brand's new design of layout which creates a comfortable and elegant interior atmosphere with more technology configurations and safety equipment. Reportedly, the new model is mounted with electrical park brake (EPB), LED lights, start/stop remote system (SSR), intelligent tire pressure monitor system (RKA, Reifenkontrollanzeige) and automatic parking system (Auto Hold), etc.

The new model will be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power output of 85kW. Besides, the existing Lavida's 1.4L turbocharged engine will also be applied in the new model after optimization and upgrading.

Apart from the all-new Lavida Plus, SAIC-VW will also exhibit the Teramont, All New Tiguan L, All New Touran L, PHIDEON, New Passat as well as Lamando GTS at Auto China 2018.
