GAC Motor’s GPMA-based sedan EMPOW55 to make debut at Auto Guangzhou

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC Motor, the self-owned PV brand of GAC Group, will offer the first glimpse of the EMPOW55 sports sedan at the upcoming Auto Guangzhou 2020 and launch its all-new tagline, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

The EMPOW55 is the first sports sedan model created on the basis of GAC's GPMA (Global Platform Modular Architecture) platform, said GAC Motor. According to the teaser photos released by the automaker, the vehicle adopts a fastback roofline and a slender car body, creating an image of constant motion even when still.

GAC Motor has gained a firm footing in China's MPV and SUV market. Boasting GAC's cutting-edge design and the advanced technologies of the GPMA platform, the EMPOW55 is expected to help the automaker gain some market share in the A-segment sedan field.

GAC Motor has made proper adjustments to its products, technologies, services and marketing tactics in recent years. At the Auto China 2020, it launched the “Golden Triangle Strategy”, seeking to bring more benefits to consumers and dealers through product and service upgrades.

On the side of technologies, GAC Motor resolves to enhance its competitiveness relying on the R&D capabilities of GAC R&D Center and the core technologies of GPMA platform, “Julang Power” platform and ADiGO in-car smart ecosystem.

GAC Motor sold 37,801 new vehicles last month, up by 28.2% from the previous year, according to GAC Group's announcement. As of October, the PV manufacturer had posted year-on-year growth for the fourth month in a row.
