Sitech first mass-produced model DEV1 rolls off production line

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- China EV startup Sitech announced that its first mass-produced model, the DEV 1 rolled off the production line at FAW Group on Aug. 16. The model is an A0 class electric model, which will hit the market on Aug. 30 with expected prices of less than RMB 100,000.

The Sitech DEV1 rolling off the production line means that the new model can be delivered. Meanwhile, first batch of 4,000-unit DEV1 anniversary version had been preordered already. It is expected that the new model will go on sale at the end of 2018. 

The new model adopts closed intake grille mated with double-U-shaped daytime running lamps, looking very unmistakable. Featuring skyline-like waistlines in both sides and LED tail lights at its rear end, the model boasts smooth bodylines and delivers a strong sense of sportiness. 

The Sitech DEV1 also offers a wide variety of high-tech amenities, including all-LCD instrument panels, tire pressure monitoring, bluetooth key, remote control and D-OS intelligent connected system. The model is outfitted with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power output of 55kW and a peak torque of 170Nm, mated with a 35kWh ternary lithium battery pack. It boasts a range of 350km and offers two battery charging options. Under the mode of fast charging, the model can have a range of 200km after charging 30 minutes.

It is known that has finished deployment of 51 dealers in more than 60 cities. What's more, Sitech said that it will launch one new model per year during next three years. In the meantime, its high-end electric vehicle brand, GYON will be put into operation gradually. As planned, GYON will launch nine new models over next eight years. Among them, its first mass-produced model will be released at around 2020 with price range between RMB 100,000 and RMB 200,000.
