NIO was still the only one whose monthly deliveries exceeded 5,000 units. Last month, the automaker delivered 5,291 vehicles to customers, setting up new monthly delivery record for the fourth consecutive month. What’s more, the year-on-year growth of monthly deliveries has been over 100% for eight months in a row.

BaaS (Battery as a Service) helps NIO attract new customers. In November, BaaS users accounted for 35% of NIO’s new orders. The service, launched in August, allows customers to buy the vehicle without the battery while its users can subscribe to battery packs of various capacity according to their needs and pay on a monthly basis. Thanks to this service, the competitiveness of NIO’s models has been strengthened when compared with traditional vehicles.

To meet the increasing market demands, the production capacity of NIO will be raised to 7,500 units per month by January. Besides, as of November, NIO has 189 stores in 111 cities across the country, including 22 NIO Houses and 167 NIO Spaces.

Apart from NIO, Li Auto’s monthly production also surpassed 5,000 units in November, when its new orders outnumbered its production. Last month, Li Auto delivered 4,646 Li ONEs, representing an increase of 25.8% when compared with the volume of October. By the end of November, Li Auto has delivered 26,498 vehicles for this year.

According to Mr. Xiang Li, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Li Auto, the automaker expects that the deliveries of the last quarter will reach 11,000 units to 12,000 units. If we minus the deliveries of October (3,692) and November (4,646), the automaker should deliver 2662 vehicles at the least to realize the target. And that is not a tough task. (308)

In November, the monthly deliveries of its P7 model hit a new high of 2,732 units, 30% more than that of October. The cumulative deliveries of the P7 have reached 11,371 units since the scale delivery at the end of June, making the company the fastest to deliver 10,000 vehicles among local EV startups.
