Porsche China opens new dealership in Beijing

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 7) - Porsche opened its 42nd Chinese dealership in Beijing this past Sunday, the International Finance News reported today. The manufacturer has previously stated its intent to have 100 dealers operating in the country by 2015.

Porsche first entered Beijing in 2001. The city is now Porsche's largest market in China, with combined sales totaling over five billion yuan ($790.06m) annually. The new 4S dealership (pictured), which originally sold Acuras, is not only the manufacturer's fourth in Beijing, it is also the largest one to date. Its display room is around 2,000 sq. m. large. Beijing Chang An Porsche Centre General Manager Feng Songyi will head the dealership. "We will continue to uphold… Porsche's tradition of excellence," Mr. Feng stated at the dealership's opening ceremony.

The dealership is operated by Jebsen Group, which now has two dealers in the city and eight across the country. The remaining two dealerships (located in Haidian District and Yizhuang District) are owned by BetterLife Group, which also has an outlet in Tianjin.

The average Porsche in Beijing sells for between one million and three million yuan ($158,013-$474,038). "The passion owners and auto enthusiasts in Beijing have for the Porsche label is very moving," Feng Ge, manager of Porsche China's sales network and development director, said.
