Chery Holding’s July sales shoot up 49.6% YoY
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chery Holding announced on Wednesday its new vehicle sales amounted to 83,678 units in July 2021, soaring 49.6% from a year ago. For the first seven months, the group sold 508,415 vehicles, a 74.6% hike year-on-year.

There were 55,566 Chery-branded vehicles sold last month, representing a 62.4% year-on-year growth. In mid-July, the lineup of the Tiggo 8 series was further enriched by the market launch of the Tiggo 8 Kunpeng, Chery brand's first model carrying the Kunpeng Power 2.0TGDI engine.
The July sales of EXEED brand rocketed 130.3% compared to the same period in 2020.
Jetour, which officially became a standalone brand on July 8, saw its July sales zoom up 92.76% from a year earlier to 15,745 units. Since the first model hit the market in August 2018, Jetour series has so far sold nearly 400,000 vehicles.
Chery Holding also announced a year-to-date sales volume of 31,986 units for the joint-venture brand Chery Jaguar Land Rover, which scored an 11.3% year-on-year increase.
As for overseas business, Chery Holding said its monthly export volume hit a new high of around 27,000 units in July. For the Jan.-Jul. period, it exported a total of 145,367 new vehicles, which were 172.9% more than the year-ago volume. The group said its full-year export volume is expected to reach 300,000 units this year.
