Gasgoo Munich- GAC Aion announced on April 3 that its new N60 will start pre-sales on April 16, coinciding with a brand refresh event. As a flagship launch for Aion in 2026, the vehicle is positioned as an "intelligent and stylish urban SUV." It targets the pure electric SUV segment below 150,000 yuan, with core highlights including a standard suite of 4D millimeter-wave radar and LiDAR across the lineup, along with the second-generation Magazine Battery.
Blind pre-orders for the vehicle began on March 25, offering buyers a 5,088 yuan purchase incentive for a 99 yuan deposit. The N60 delivers class-leading intelligent driving capabilities, featuring a standard fusion perception system of 4D millimeter-wave radar and LiDAR. Powered by algorithms derived from WeRide's L4 autonomous driving technology, it handles scenarios ranging from city streets to highways. It also supports full-scenario smart parking and remote parking, effectively lowering the entry barrier for advanced driver-assistance systems.

Regarding safety and range, the N60 is equipped with GAC Aion's second-generation Magazine Battery. Having passed extreme tests including gunfire and nail penetration, and verified over 50 billion kilometers with zero fire incidents, the battery is designed to address safety concerns for electric vehicle users. The new model offers a maximum range of 610 km and utilizes the world's first amorphous alloy silicon carbide electric drive, with energy consumption as low as 11.7 kWh per 100 km, achieving a balance between endurance and efficiency.
Measuring 4,615 mm in length, 1,860 mm (1,883 mm) in width, and 1,673 mm in height, with a 2,775 mm wheelbase, the vehicle offers superior interior space efficiency to meet diverse urban needs. Priced below 150,000 yuan, it will compete with rivals such as the BYD Song PLUS EV and the Geely Galaxy E5.
With a strategy of "high specifications at entry level," the Aion N60 aims to fill the gap for high-end intelligent driving SUVs below 150,000 yuan. Its market reception will depend on the pre-sale price, delivery timelines, and actual user experience.
