ARCFOX β T1 offers more features at no extra cost in its nine-month accelerated rollout

Gasgoo Munich- ARCFOX launched the β T1 on June 16. The new model comes in three trims—350 PRO, 450 PRO, and 450 MAX—with an official guide price ranging from 62,800 to 79,800 yuan. Limited-time offers are set at 62,800 yuan, 68,800 yuan, and 78,800 yuan respectively.

As the annual refresh of the ARCFOX T1, the new model has been officially folded into the brand's "β" product line, marking the second entry after the β S3. It took just nine months from the initial launch last September to this year's facelift—a rapid product iteration cycle.

That pace is rare in the traditional auto sector, reflecting the accelerating rhythm of competition in the small electric vehicle market.

What's New?

The 2026 β T1 retains the overall silhouette of its predecessor, featuring a closed grille flanked by a full-width LED daytime running light. The headlight clusters blend seamlessly into the light strip, creating a unified front design.

At the rear, a new full-width taillight design takes center stage, with the high-mounted brake light integrated beneath the spoiler and the rear bumper updated to match. Two new paint options—"Cloud Rose Pink" and "Shadow Green"—join the lineup, bringing the total exterior color choices to seven.

In terms of size, the new β T1 measures 4,375 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,572 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. That represents a slight lengthening over the previous model's 4,337 mm. The 2,770 mm wheelbase is particularly impressive for an A0-segment car, approaching the dimensions of some compact SUVs. Cargo capacity stands at 459 liters, including a 74-liter under-floor storage compartment, expanding to 1,352 liters with the rear seats folded.

The powertrain is a focal point of this update. The entire lineup now features a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with peak power of 95 kW (roughly 129 hp) and peak torque of 176 Nm. That's a 25 kW jump over the current model's 70 kW motor.

An eight-in-one electric drive system reduces weight and volume by 15% and 18% respectively, while boosting power density by 10%.

On the range front, the new model offers 350 km and 450 km CLTC versions, up from the 320 km and 425 km of the outgoing model, thanks to increased battery capacity. Energy consumption is estimated at 11.2 kWh per 100 km.

Equipped with a heat pump and direct cooling and heating technology for the battery, the vehicle retains 94% of its charge in temperatures as low as -7°C, according to official data. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes 0.36 hours. A 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) function comes standard, with batteries supplied by CALB and Juwan Inpai.

Inside, the car comes standard with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen (1,920 × 1,080 resolution) and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, running on the α-OS system. It supports CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar, and Carlink connectivity, while the voice assistant recognizes commands from two audio zones and understands various dialects.

The 450 MAX trim features an L2-level driver assistance suite, hardware-backed by 12 ultrasonic radars and four panoramic fisheye cameras. It supports lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and traffic jam assistance. Additional tech includes a 540-degree panoramic view, 50-meter trail reverse assist, narrow road imaging, and APA/RPA parking functions, with the manufacturer claiming a parking recognition rate of 98%.

On paper, the β T1 packs segment-defying features like a 15.6-inch screen, L2 driver aids, and a 2,770 mm wheelbase into the 60,000 to 80,000 yuan bracket—making it a formidable contender. Yet whether that spec-sheet firepower translates into sales hinges on softer factors like brand recognition and dealer network coverage.

The Market Logic of a Small Car

Looking back, the ARCFOX T1's market trajectory reads like a dark horse story. Launched in September 2025, the current model racked up over 35,000 orders in its first month. Sales hit 15,050 units the following month, making it the first ARCFOX model to breach the 10,000-unit monthly mark. By December 2025, retail sales reached 17,170 units, securing third place in the small car segment.

That performance stands out within the ARCFOX portfolio: in December 2025, the T1 alone accounted for nearly 70% of the brand's total monthly sales. In a very real sense, this "small car" carried ARCFOX's market presence through the second half of 2025.

The T1's rapid market penetration stems from a simple strategy: offer slightly more space and slightly better equipment than peers. Priced below competitors, it boasts larger dimensions, a longer wheelbase, and superior range. This approach of attacking the market with superior specs has proven to be a replicable path in a saturated environment.

The rebranding to "β T1" for this facelift is more than a cosmetic change. By moving the T1 into the "β" family, ARCFOX is consciously integrating the model into a more systematic product matrix.

The β T1 targets the fiercely competitive 60,000 to 80,000 yuan A0-class EV commuter market. From January to May 2026, the Geely Xingyuan sold 160,800 units, leading the segment. There remains a significant gap between the β T1 and the top spot.

With this update, the β T1 adopts a "more features, same price" strategy. The message is clear: maintain price competitiveness while bolstering product appeal to grab a larger slice of the market.

However, ARCFOX still trails giants like Geely, BYD, and Wuling in brand awareness and channel coverage. While the β T1 has the hardware to compete, sustained investment will be needed to improve terminal reach and win over consumers.
