On August 5, 2026, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance(HIMA) officially launched the MAEXTRO V800 and V680 flagship MPVs in Shenzhen. The V800 is offered in three variants—Premium Edition, Executive Edition and Flagship Edition—with starting prices of RMB 766,000, RMB 866,000 and RMB 1.016 million, respectively.
As MAEXTRO's first MPV and the highest-priced MPV currently offered under HIMA,the V800 targets the premium executive and private mobility market. It is built on the dedicated MAEXTRO Tuling Longxing platform and features Huawei's next-generation "Giant Whale" 800V battery platform as well as a vehicle architecture for Level 3 automated driving.
After 23 days of pre-sales, orders for the V800 and V680 had exceeded 10,000 units as of the launch, with the V800 accounting for approximately 80%. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September, with the Pioneer Edition expected to reach customers in early September and other variants following later in the month.

Powertrain & Charging: Huawei "Giant Whale" 800V Platform and 1.5T Range Extender
The V800 adopts a range-extended electric powertrain featuring a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine serving as the range extender, with a maximum output of 127 kW. It is paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system comprising a 160-kW front motor and a 230-kW rear motor, for a combined output of 390 kW, or approximately 530 hp.
The entire lineup uses Huawei's "Giant Whale" 800V high-voltage battery platform and a 65-kWh 6C ternary lithium-ion battery pack. The V800 offers a CLTC-rated pure-electric range of 340 km and a combined range of up to 1,335 km.
The battery supports 800V high-voltage fast charging, with a claimed 10%-80% charging time of approximately 10.5 minutes.
CATL is the exclusive battery supplier, while the range extender is manufactured by JAC Motors.
The powertrain gives the V800 substantial performance reserves for a full-size luxury MPV, with an official 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the four-second range.
Intelligent Driving: Huawei QiankunADS 5.0 and L3-Ready Architecture
Advanced driving is one of the V800's key differentiators. The vehicle comes equipped with 40 driver-assistance sensors, including a six LiDARs array comprising one 896-line dual-optical-path image-grade LiDAR, one coaxial-path in-cabin LiDAR-vision sensor and four solid-state LiDARs.
The overall sensing suite includes 17 forward-facing, 13 rear-facing and 10 side-facing sensors. Hardware includes 11 cameras, five 4D millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and six exterior microphones, providing comprehensive coverage around the vehicle.
The V800 also features 14 airbags covering occupants throughout the cabin and debuts Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0.
More importantly, the vehicle adopts an architecture engineered for Level 3 automated driving, with redundant sensing, computing, connectivity and power-supply systems designed to enhance functional safety and system availability.
Huawei develops and supplies the LiDAR and intelligent-driving computing hardware. A six-LiDAR configuration is standard across the V800 lineup, giving the model an unusually high level of sensing hardware for the premium MPV segment.

Smart Cockpit: HarmonyOS and HUAWEI SOUND
The cockpit is built around HarmonyOS. The front row features an integrated panoramic triple-screen display and a head-up display, while rear passengers are provided with a 41.6-inch projection screen and a detachable 6.6-inch MagLink Mini control screen.
The vehicle is also equipped with the HUAWEI SOUND ULTIMATE audio system developed specifically for the MPV application, featuring 41 speaker units. Deep integration with the HarmonyOS ecosystem enables smootherecosystem enables smoother content and device handoff between the vehicle, smartphones and tablets.
Interior features include a distinctive elevated L-shaped center consolethat separates the front and rear sections of the cabin and integrates charging functions, fingerprint- and passcode-protected storage, and refrigeration.
An optional private beverage bar supports one-touch preparation of coffee and tea. The cabin also features a scroll-inspired starry-sky roof with 1,608 individually controlled light sources capable of producing dynamic lighting effects, as well as a concealed electrically operated shoe compartment with sterilization and deodorization functions.
The second-row Lingyun seats use a 20-layer composite structure and offer full-surface constant-temperature heating and 20 independent controlled massage points.
The V800 also features an Emotional Energy Cabin system jointly developed with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Based on neuroacoustic principles, the system offers functions including relaxation, sleep assistance and focus modes.
HarmonyOS and the HUAWEI SOUND system are supplied by Huawei.

Chassis & Body: Tuling Longxing Platform and Fully Active Suspension
The V800 is based on the dedicated MAEXTRO Tuling Longxing platform. It features an 800V fully active suspension system, combined with dual-chamber air suspension and dual-valve CDC continuously variable damping to enable millisecond-level chassis adjustment.
Rear-wheel steering of up to ±12 degrees is standard across the lineup, helping reduce the minimum turning radius to approximately 5.4 meters. The vehicle also supports Crab Walk mode.
The V800 additionally adopts steer-by-wire technology, with the steering ratio continuously adjustable according to vehicle speed and driving mode. A triple-redundancy design is used to enhance steering-system safety.
The body is based on an "Xuanwu" structure comprising 11 crossmembers, 11 longitudinal members.Ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum-magnesium alloys account for 88.2% of the body structure. The front and rear crash beams use aerospace-grade 7-series aluminum alloy, while the roof is claimed to withstand a maximum load of 17.9 tonnes.
The V800 measures 5,495 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width and 1,850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,430 mm. Its drag coefficient is rated at 0.259 Cd.
At the chassis-control level, the Tuling Longxing platform integrates the HUAWEI XMC Qiankun Digital Chassis Engine , enabling coordinated control across six vehicle domains.
Supply Chain Perspective: JAC Manufacturing and Huawei's Full-Stack Technology
The V800's supply chain can be broadly be characterized as a dual-pillar model combining JAC Motors' vehicle manufacturing capabilities with Huawei's extensive technology stack.
On the manufacturing side, JAC operates a dedicated MAEXTRO Super Factory and is responsible for vehicle production, drawing on its experience in chassis engineering, body structure development and vehicle manufacturing. JAC also manufactures the V800's range extender.
Huawei, meanwhile, plays a broad role across several of the vehicle's key technology domains, including the Whale 800V battery platform and electric-drive systems, Qiankun ADS 5 and the six-LiDAR sensing architecture, HarmonyOS and HUAWEI SOUND, as well as the Tuling Longxing platform and digital chassis-control system.
CATL serves as the exclusive battery supplier.
The "JAC manufacturing + Huawei technology" model Fellows a similar approach to that used for the MAEXTRO S800. From a supply chain perspective, the arrangement can improve system-level integration by combining JAC's manufacturing and vehicle-engineering capabilities with Huawei's platforms across powertrain, intelligent driving, cockpit and chassis domains.
