Shanghai (Gasgoo)- AutoNavi, a Chinese navigation and location-based services provider, launched a one-stop intelligent mobility solution dubbed A+ Box on November 30 and announced that Audi becomes the first OEM to equip A+ Box.

The A+ Box is an automotive-grade hardware that is available for 4G network. Based on the newly-built partnership, the A+ Box will be installed in a number of Audi branded models early next year. Audi's car owners can upgrade their cars by adding the A+ Box system into their existing cars.
According to Jiang Rui, vice general manager of AutoNavi's automotive business unit, the A+ Box boasts an automotive-grade 8-core high-performance processor with higher standard than that of the existing on-board system, which can provide users with interactive experience as fluent as mainstream mobile phones. Besides, the A+ Box's in-house 4G network integrates such features as navigation, voice interaction, in-vehicle entertainment and non-inductive payment.
Using voice-activated system is a rather efficient method to achieve human-vehicle interaction and can minimize the driving risks for drivers. It is reported that the A+ Box solution is powered by Alibaba Group's new-generation AI technology that helps the system acquire the abilities such as natural language input and smart semantic comprehension. Using optimized algorithms, the A+ Box get improvements in the activating speed for voice search, recognition fluency as well as noise immunity, etc.
Especially, the A+ Box can understand some complicated natural language, like “searching a nearby Japanese cuisine restaurant costing over RMB200 each person” and do response immediately.
The A+ Box also carries many content applications, including AutoNavi's latest vehicle-use mapping system, Xiami Music and Alipay, to facilitate and enrich users driving journey.
