Hesai Technology signs agreement to supply Dreame with 10 million LiDAR units

Gasgoo Munich- Hesai Technology (NASDAQ:HSAI; HKEX:2525) and Dreame Technology have deepened their strategic partnership, signing a new exclusive supply agreement on March 19. Under the deal, Hesai will exclusively provide 10 million JT-series LiDAR units for robotic lawnmowers under the Dreame and MOVA brands within the Dreame ecosystem.

As the global outdoor living market booms, smart robotic lawnmowers are emerging as the next breakout category following robotic vacuums. Analysis suggests the global market for these machines could hit $30 billion by 2026. That vast potential is drawing a flood of competitors.

At the recent AWE 2026 trade show, Dreame unveiled its first embodied intelligent robotic lawnmower, the APEX. Featuring an extendable mechanical arm, the unit can autonomously sweep leaves, collect and dump trash, and tidy up toys and tools. Beyond that, it serves as a versatile yard assistant—handling tasks like automatic watering and fruit harvesting—and even acts as an interactive companion for pets and children on the lawn.

Dreame also introduced an upgraded OmniSense 3.0 ultra-sensing system. By combining Hesai’s 360° 3D LiDAR with dual 1080P HDR cameras, the system can identify and automatically avoid more than 300 common obstacles.

Meanwhile, MOVA debuted two new series at CES 2026: NAVAX AWD and LiDAX Ultra. The NAVAX AWD targets large lawns over 1.25 acres, positioning itself as an all-terrain, off-road mower. The LiDAX Ultra is designed for small to medium lawns ranging from 0.25 to 0.5 acres, offering comparable sensing capabilities at a competitive price point for both residential and commercial use.

Back in 2025, Hesai and Dreame formally signed a strategic partnership agreement, which included an order for 300,000 JT-series LiDAR units.

Hesai's JT-series 3D LiDAR, officially launched at the CES 2025, features a compact design for seamless, concealed installation. It provides zero-blind-spot 3D perception for robotic mowers, effectively detecting objects even at close range. With a 360° ultra-wide field of view, the JT covers over 10,000 square meters in a single frame, enabling critical functions like positioning, navigation, and obstacle avoidance.

According to data released by Hesai earlier this year, cumulative deliveries of the JT series have surpassed 200,000 units in the year since its launch.
