Gasgoo Munich- The first phase of the Optics Valley High-End Microelectronic Devices Industrial Park is now complete, according to a report by "China Optics Valley." Situated at the intersection of Zuoling Avenue and Wuhuang Avenue in Wuhan, the facility is preparing for the arrival of multiple tenants. Meanwhile, construction on Phase 2—located just across the road—has begun in tandem, with operations expected to start in 2027.
The park, developed by Wuhan Gehua Group, sits within the Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Park and spans a total gross floor area of approximately 250,000 square meters across two phases. Phase 1 covers 180,000 square meters, featuring two high-rise R&D towers, a multi-function exhibition hall, and nine R&D and production plants. It is designed to host pan-semiconductor companies for R&D verification, pilot testing, and small-scale adaptive production.

On the leasing front, companies including Weineng Battery have signed contracts and are preparing to move into Phase 1. Their business scope spans compound semiconductors, advanced packaging, high-end equipment, and new energy batteries. Weineng Battery has leased an entire floor of roughly 4,000 square meters to establish a pilot line for repairing battery cathode materials. With a designed annual capacity of about 2,000 tons, this line is expected to serve as a vital testing platform for the recycling and reuse of new energy battery materials.
Phase 2 will encompass a total gross floor area of about 72,000 square meters, including approximately 52,000 square meters of high-cleanliness production workshops. To accommodate mass production lines for pan-semiconductor firms, single-floor areas in Phase 2 will reach up to 12,000 square meters. Support facilities such as specialty gas stations, bulk gas stations, multi-category chemical warehouses, and integrated utility plants will be built to centrally supply critical resources like ultra-pure water and heating and cooling sources required for semiconductor processes.
Under the construction schedule, the main structure and supporting utility stations of Phase 2 are set for completion by June 2027. By December of that year, equipment commissioning and testing will be finished, and the facility will officially go live. Subsequent leasing efforts will focus on companies in the semiconductor equipment, materials, and components sectors.
The surrounding area has already attracted a cluster of enterprises, including TCL CSOT, Tianma Microelectronics, Anyang Laser, and Guochuangke, covering new display technologies and intelligent manufacturing. Once the park is fully operational, it will further integrate into the regional industrial ecosystem, shortening the physical distance for collaboration between tenants and leading industry players.
