Summary: Sales performance of foreign brand SUVs in China from January to June of 2015

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - The Chinese SUV market has continued to achieve rapid growth over the first six months of the year. According to Gasgoo.com (Chinese), a total of 2.71 million SUVs were sold in the country from January to June, representing positive year-on-year growth of 48%. In particular, own brands’ were able to see their sales nearly double, growing 95.5%. By comparison, sales of foreign brand SUVs only increased 15.5%. A total of 1.25 million foreign brand SUVs, accounting for 46.4% of all SUVs sold in the country over the first half of the year, down 13 percentage points from the previous year.
