Shanghai, November 14 (Gasgoo.com) Brilliance Auto, one of China’s largest own-brand vehicle makers, will display its heavyweight BS6 hybrid as well as all other models at the upcoming Guangzhou auto show next week.
Powered by a 1.8T engine, the BS6 hybrid almost shares the same design with the existing BS6 common version except the powerstrain and dimensions.
The BS6 hybrid features a power supply combined with gas and electrics and an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) system. The model can save 35% more fuel consumption compared to the cars with the same emission.
Brilliance Auto has drawn up a three-year plan for hybrid development to launch plug-in hybrid models in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
