Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 18th)- Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau in China will release new national regulations limiting emission of cars with length of 3.5m till the end of 2017.

The draft of these regulations, basically adapting from regulations performed in Europe were released on May 12. Regulations on evaporating emission and gas emission implemented in America were also included in this draft.

Regulations limiting emission of cars with length of 3.5m have been adjusted for reducing emission of automobiles. However, there hasn’t any rule limiting emission caused by vehicles driving on places of high altitude included in regulations performed European countries. Therefore, referring in related regulations performed in America, new regulations in China will incorporate regulations limiting emission of VOCs and emission caused by vehicles driving on places of high altitude.

VW failing to abide by emission regulations encourages China’s government to incorporate RDE into new regulations.

However, what new regulations will be remains unknown till the end of this year.
