Gasgoo (Shanghai, October 17)— Last week, SSANG YONG Motor Company, one of leading automakers in the South Korea, has signed to cooperate with Shanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., one of leading automakers in China, to build a joint venture in west-north China, which may be the first plant of SSANG YONG established oversea.
The production capacity of the plant may be about 300,000 units every year. The joint-ventured company may aim at developing products including SUV, MPV, pick-up, car, and others. Moreover, the company may also invest on development of alternative energy vehicles. It may cost two years to complete the construction in the first phase. And, expectedly, the annual revenue may be from 30 billion to 40 billion RMB by 2019. So as to improve product advantage, plants producing accessories may also be established there for building a complete system of auto industry.
