Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 25) - Changan PSA will officially begin importing the Citroën DS3 by the end of August, Beijing News reported today. The DS3 will come on the heels of the DS4 and DS5, which will make their market debut on June 28. Prices are expected to start at 200,000 yuan ($31,814).

The three door DS3 hatchback (pictured) is built on the Citroën C3 platform. It measures 3.95 m long, 1.71 m wide and 1.46 m tall, with a 2.46 m long wheelbase. It will directly compete with the Audi A1, Mini and other subcompacts.

The DS3 comes with cruise control, electronic stability control, electronic brake assist and gear shift indicators as standard features. Additionally, premium trim levels offer a six-way airbag system, GPS navigation and other features. The car has two 1.6 L engine choices available: the THP 155 model and THP 200. The former can produce up to 115 kW, while the latter has a maximum output of 147 kW. Five-speed and six-speed manual transmissions, as well as an automatic transmission, are all available.

Changan PSA recently opened its first DS Store in China, marking the official establishment of an independent sales network for DS models in the country.
