The VW Phaeteon and Touareg have been big hits in China, especially the Toureg SUV which was essentially one of the fist big SUV’s to hit the Chinese market and become popular overnight.
The next generation Phaeton had its world unveiling at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, as VW understand that for this type of car Asia is the next big market, especially China. The Phaeton will be available in V6, V8 and W12 engine configuration, whilst the W12 will be good for 450bhp. The below spy pictures show a 4.2L V8 that produces 335bhp
The new Touareg is not due to launch in China until the end of November or even December from what CCT has so far learned, this early tester maybe out to give dealers a sneak preview of what they will be expecting later this year. The updated grill will bring the Touareg into line with the rest of the VW line up, especially its smaller sibling the Tiguan.
