Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 7th)- A rented white Rowe e550 was on fire on June 6 in China, causing hot discussion about safety of electric vehicles.
Fortunately, this accident had caused not any casualty. Official investigation clarified that the automaker should not be blamed for this fire. Charging the electric car in an inappropriate way caused ignition.
Experts pointed out that user should charge their green vehicles in charging stations, if possible, rather than at home. And drivers should use charging facilities meeting requirements, avoiding any accident like this.
However, due to lack of charging facilities at public places, automakers may provide customers with household charging equipment. Automotive manufacturers also declared that experiment and technology might be able to ensure quality of power batteries.
Training and guidance about how to charge electric vehicles at home should be provided to customers so as to avoid accident of any type.
