Shanghai, June 21 (Gasgoo.com) Subaru, an auto-making division of Japan's Fuji Heavy Industries, plans to produce one of its best-selling models in China within two or three years as its sales grow rapidly.

Subaru will also establish the supporting facilities in the country, so the prices of the model and the auto parts will likely to be lowered, Li Jinyong, general manager of Zhongji Subaru Beijing Dongfangjiye Auto Dealer (Subaru) said recently.

Subaru's China development has seen a significant growth over just a few years. Now it has become one of the main auto brands among China's imported vehicles, following the Mercedes-Benz brand and the BMW brand.

In 2009, Subaru did pretty well in its China sales, which accounted for 10% of the total sales of the country's imported vehicles. The delivery time for its Outback model and other models has even listed to September this year in China's south-central Chongqing municipal. The company has thus decided to open two more dealerships to improve sales and maintenance in the city.

In 2010, Subaru aims to sell 55,000-66,000 vehicles in China. In the first five months, it reported sales of 20,000 units, with sales of the Zhongji Company reaching 14,000 units.

In addition, Subaru has made plans to seek further growth in the Chinese market by boosting the sales of more Subaru-brand models besides Forester.
