AITO M8 Deliveries Surpass 170,000 Units

Gasgoo Munich- Gasgoo has learned that Yu Chengdong—Huawei executive director, chairman of the Product Investment Committee, and chairman of the Consumer Business Group—revealed on Weibo that the AITO M8 has surpassed 170,000 deliveries one year after its debut. The model secured the annual sales crown in the 400,000-yuan SUV segment, a result that outperformed expectations.

As a mid-to-large SUV, the AITO M8 offers both five- and six-seat layouts, with a starting price of 359,800 yuan.

To cater to diverse travel needs, the AITO M8 covers both extended-range (EREV) and pure electric powertrains, forming a comprehensive product matrix for all scenarios.

The extended-range version officially launched on April 16, 2025, with three configurations—Max, Max+, and Ultra—priced between 359,800 and 449,800 yuan. It features Huawei's DriveONE Golden EREV power platform, combining a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder range extender with dual motors. The setup achieves a CLTC comprehensive range of 1,526 km, with enough battery range for daily commuting, and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.

The pure electric version followed on August 25, 2025, offering Max+ long-range, Max+ all-wheel-drive, and Ultra trims. It shares the same starting price of 359,800 yuan. The vehicle debuts Huawei's DriveONE high-voltage seven-in-one motor, noted for high integration, efficiency, and low noise. It comes standard with CATL's 100 kWh battery and an 800V high-voltage platform, enabling a 30% to 80% charge in just 15 minutes, with a CLTC pure electric range of 705 km.
